Sol Chip and ApiFix Win 2013 Best Incubator Graduates

The Technological Incubators Program has also chosen the three best technology incubator graduate companies, to be presented at its annual convention.

Cartiheal, Sol Chip, and ApiFix are the three best technology incubator graduates chosen by the Technological Incubators Program and which will be presented at its annual convention.

Trendlines Group Mofet Venture Accelerator portfolio company Sol Chip Ltd. has developed a device that converts solar energy directly into power for mobile handsets. Its technology makes it possible to install an inexhaustible battery on RFID sensors and chips. The company has raised several million dollars from Trendlines, Israel Electric Corporation’s (IEC) Karat Fund, and business development company DS2 Ltd.

Trendlines Misgav Venture Accelerator portfolio company Apifix Ltd. has developed a minimally invasive implant to treat adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. The company has raised a few hundred thousand dollars from the Maryland-Israel Development Fund and Trendlines. The company’s product consists of two screws, which are implanted through a tiny incision through the skin, without the need for full surgery involving a large incision along the back.
