Our 10th Year at Biomed


Trendlines team members at the Trendlines Medical booth at Biomed on May 12 to 14. This year marked our 10th year at Biomed.

Last week’s 14th Biomed conference in Tel Aviv marked the 10th year Trendlines Medical exhibited at the annual event. Trendlines team members, including Trendlines Medical CEO Eran Feldhay and VP New Ventures Edit Goldberg, and portfolio company CEOs were on hand during the three-day event to answer questions, discuss the products, and meet with attendees and delegations from around the world. Quiet Technologies and MedaSense won the Wow Competition at the Startup Pavilion of Israel’s Office of the Chief Scientist. PlaybyBreath won the first-ever healthcare IT hackathon. Read more news about Biomed from the Israel Advanced Technology Industries (IATI), the conference organizer.

According to the Israel Venture Capital (IVC) Research Center report, 2014 was a record year for life science investments: “$801 million was invested in 167 life sciences companies, a figure that was 55% higher than the $516 million raised by 142 companies in 2013, and 64% more than the $489 million invested in 133 life sciences companies in 2012.” Read “2014 a record year for life science investments” (Times of Israel).
